The greatest calling on your life is to be the best you there is. Galatians 6:4 – one of my favorite verses – set me free to be the best me I can be: But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

If we don’t live with an attitude that causes us to be quick to forgive and release the people involved, we will carry unforgiveness around with us. It will affect everything we do and it can infect the spirit of our home and life.

One day, when I was in Bible College, I was sitting on my bed reading my Bible. As I was reading, the Holy Spirit illuminated a scripture in Galatians to me. It was like a light bulb went off in my head and I could clearly understand what this scripture was teaching me.

One of my favorite memories is when I was just a young teenager. My mom came into our kitchen and asked my two sisters and me what we thought about our family adopting a baby from Korea. We were instantly excited as we yelled, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” Only a few months later, I was holding my new baby sister in my arms, loving her with all of my heart. To this day, she is one of my dearest friends and greatest blessings from God.

Are You Wise?

As Christians, we are all called to win the lost to Christ. The Bible says when we win souls we are wise. Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.”
How many of us know people who are not saved? How many of us have friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors who don’t know the love of God and have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior? What do we do about it? The Word of God is spirit, not law. God has an amazing design and plan for each and every one of us! So what is yours? What are you doing to walk in His plan? It could be as simple as reading your Bible or finishing your homework. Do the next thing - whatever that is for you, but always choosing the God-smart choice.
Hebrews 4:16 tells us to “boldly approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
